Job Description:
As the International Logistics Officer you will effectively oversee the transportation of goods and services from their origin to their final destination.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Material availability
● S&OP Planning to maintain consistent inventory availability at all times.
● Performing market research on products and staying updated on changes in HS codes.
● Coordinating logistics for imports.
● Managing inventory at the supply chain management (SCM) level by implementing warehouse zoning to achieve FIFO/LIFO, product categorization, zoning, and facilitating easy access for product inspection, counting, and identification.
● Coordinating inventory activities across departments.
● Minimizing the cash conversion cycle by optimizing supplier lead times, shipment routes

2. Tax optimization & Compliance.
● Conducting and engaging in tax assessment and clearance processes for incoming shipments.
● Monitoring exemption applications and reporting progress.
● Ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies such as URA, UNBS, etc., through proactive follow-ups.
● Overseeing online trade systems management (EFRIS, ASYCUDA).
● Supervising and tracking compliance with standards.
● Engaging with stakeholders representing governing bodies.

3. Supplier Management.
● Creating visualizations of stock levels throughout the organization.
● Managing service providers, such as couriers, clearing agents, and freight forwarders.
● Tracking and overseeing all incoming shipments, including samples, stock, and spares.
● Submitting quarterly reports to URA on material usage in accordance with provided exemptions

4. Distribution of goods and services
● Overseeing the complete logistics coordination process for delivering products to clients.
● Managing product clearance for export, ensuring adherence to all necessary steps including preparation, reception, offloading, and storage of incoming shipments. This includes careful consideration of storage space planning, workforce allocation, documentation verification, and stock count confirmation.
● Ensuring that Certificate of Origin documents are readily accessible for all shipments.
● Implementing route optimization strategies for all deliveries.
● Coordinating the preparation of packing lists, delivery notes, and shipping invoices.

The Ideal Candidate:
● Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement and Logistics Management, Logistics and Distribution Management or a related field.
● 3 years in a manufacturing or fast-moving environment.
● Familiarity with customs regulations, import/export procedures, and international trade compliance.
● Strong analytical abilities to assess market trends, evaluate transportation routes, and optimize logistics processes.
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective coordination with suppliers, carriers, and internal stakeholders.
● Meticulous attention to detail to manage documentation accurately and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
● Proficiency in using logistics software and systems, including ERP systems, warehouse management systems (WMS), and customs clearance platforms.
● Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines effectively.
● Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances, such as shifting market conditions or transportation disruptions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Brand Strategy:

1.1. Develop and execute a comprehensive brand strategy that aligns with the company’s

5. Content Creation:

5.1. Create engaging and informative content, including blog posts, videos, infographics,
and more.

5.2. Develop a content calendar and oversee content distribution across various
channels.

6. Public Relations:

6.1. Build and maintain relationships with media outlets and industry influencers.

6.2. Handle media inquiries and press releases, ensuring positive coverage.

6.3. Ensure that our brand satisfies our key stakeholders:

6.3.1. Clients (BodaBoda riders want to buy our product & service)

6.3.2. Employees, current and potential (talent wants to work with us)

6.3.3. Our investors (like to see a green, modern, edgy brand they can associate
with)

6.3.4. Government

7. Brand Collateral:

7.1. Manage the development of marketing materials, including brochures, presentations,
and promotional items.

7.2. Ensure brand consistency in all visual assets.

7.3. Procurement and managing branded materials and across all departments of the
business, from client relations to HR (onboarding).

8. Budget Management:

8.1. Develop and manage the marketing budget, allocating resources effectively to
achieve goals.

8.2. Monitor expenses and ROI for marketing activities.

9. Team Leadership:

9.1. Lead and mentor a team of marketing professionals, fostering creativity and
collaboration.

9.2. Set clear goals and provide regular feedback to team members.

The Ideal Candidate:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field
● 5 years of experience in brand management and marketing, preferably in the mobility or
automotive industry.
● Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns.
